Apr 16, 2018 /Aayushi Sharma , The final round of Rising Star 2 saw Rohanpreet, Vishnumaya, Zaid Ali and Hemant Brijwasi competed for the winner’s title while Shankar Mahadevan, Monali Thakur and Diljit Dosanjh form the judges. Elbowing everyone aside, Hemant claimed victory and took home the trophy.

With a theme Uthao Soch ki Deewar, the show saw the stellar trio of singer-composer Shankar Mahadevan, singer-actress Monali Thakur and the heartthrob like Diljit Dosanjh forming the judges’ panel. After battling out for nearly 3 months, Hemant Brijwasi became the winner of Rising Star 2. Interestingly, he has also won Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Li’l Champs in 2009. and was seen as a participant on India’s Got Talent and Jo Jeeta Wohi Superstar 2 before.The finale episode of Rising Star 2 saw Hemant Brijwasi, Rohanpreet Singh, Vishnumaya and Zaid Ali fight for the prestigious title. Vishnumaya opened the finale night with Hai Rama and stole hearts. With 85% votes from the audience, a whistle from Monali and a Tutari moment from Shankar Mahadevan, she secured a place for herself in the top three. Next to perform was Zaid Ali. Despite a simply brilliant performance, Zaid has scored only 80%. The 11-year-old gave an entertaining performance on Jag Ghoomeya but lost to Rohanpreet Singh’s performance on Haule Haule that won him 83% votes. With a standing ovation and a scintillating performance, Hemant too entered the top 3 with Rohanpreet and Vishnumaya.
